This health and education precinct will include a new $1.5 billion, 504 bed public hospital (to be operated by Western Health), create 2,000 ongoing jobs, and align with the Footscray University Town initiative between Victoria University and the Maribyrnong City Council, which will deliver a smart, creative and vibrant multicultural community in Footscray.
